5 Bathroom Cleaning Tips
1. VINEGAR
We all know vinegar is a great natural cleaning tool. Soaking your shower head in vinegar will break down all that dirt and grime build up, allowing for an easy clean! Tip: While you work on the rest of your bathroom, soak your shower head in a plastic bag filled with white vinegar. By the time you get to it, all you need to do is a quit scrub and voila!
Did you know: Shower heads can store tons of bacteria like Mycobacterium avium, which can cause pulmonary issues.
2. DENTAL FLOSS
Ever stub your fingers and break your nails trying to get those gross brown rings built up around your faucet? Using dental floss to get to all of those tricky angles will save you time (and your manicure).
3. BAKING SODA AND BLEACH
Baking soda is another great cleaning hack to use, but when you combine it with bleach it becomes an excellent way to get your grout sparkling clean. Use a combination of ¾ cup of baking soda with ¼ cup bleach in between your tiles. Let sit for 30 minute and then scrub clean and rinse.
4. WASHING MACHINE
Obviously, towels and washable bathroom rugs should be cleaned, but you can also wash your plastic shower curtains and liners as well. Just put them in with your regular detergent with a few old towels to help scrub away soap scum and mildew and you’re protected from lingering bacteria!
5. SQUEEGEE
Keeping a squeegee in your shower is a great way to remind yourself to wipe all of the excess water clean after you bath. This helps prevent future soap scum and limestone buildup in the leftover condensation!
